Arduino Unlocked: Security System Project Update

We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at one of the projects being added to Arduino Unlocked — a full-featured security system designed to teach practical integration of multiple sensors and real-world data handling.

Right now, we’re in the environmental monitoring phase.
We’re focusing on capturing and interpreting temperature data to build the foundation for a responsive security system that adapts to its environment.

Here’s a first glimpse of the early setup:

This project will eventually combine:

  • Environmental sensors (temperature, humidity)
  • Motion detection
  • Keypad input
  • Real-time feedback with LEDs and buzzers
  • Servo-controlled mechanisms for physical interactions

Each step is carefully explained in the book, designed to guide beginners through setting up complex systems one manageable piece at a time.

More updates coming soon as we expand this system — stay tuned, and if you’re already subscribed, you’ll get early looks and insider progress updates.

Thanks for building with us, and if you haven’t grabbed the book yet it’s currently up for pre sale at a discounted price on Amazon
