Daily writing prompt
What jobs have you had?

We’ve done a lot of jobs.
Like, a lot a lot.
Some paid in actual money. Others paid in experience. A few paid in trauma and chips.

There was that one time we helped someone fix their Wi-Fi and somehow ended up rewiring their entire house.
Or when we ghostwrote a breakup email for a client who called it “relationship consulting.”
One of us worked retail for exactly two weeks, got yelled at over a candle, and never went back.

We’ve done freelance design, wrote training manuals no one read, gave tech advice to people who didn’t listen, and got paid once to sit in a boardroom and nod like we understood the acronyms (we didn’t).

There was a job where we had to teach people how to use software we barely understood.
And another where we actually built the software.
We’ve written scripts, soldered boards, run network cables, installed servers, fixed toasters, built websites, lost passwords, found meaning, lost meaning, and made coffee for bosses who thought we were interns.

And through all of it — we were figuring out what we actually wanted to do.

Spoiler: it’s probably this.
Writing weird little posts and building weird little projects with meaning tucked between the lines.
